About

Borders Creations is a portfolio of paintings and other original work made in the Scottish Borders.

• Exhibitions — the paintings, gathered into shows.
• Artists — who makes the work.

Every painting here is an original. Nothing is sold through this website; if a work interests you, please write.

This site is built by plinth, a static site engine written for it: Clojure and babashka in, plain HTML, CSS and one small script out.

• No third-party code. No fonts, frameworks, scripts or trackers are fetched from anywhere else — a page here asks nothing of any other server.
• Type is your own device's system stack; there is nothing to download.
• Pictures are photographs of the originals, published at up to 2560 pixels across.
• Maps are drawn from OpenStreetMap data — © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.
• Hosting is Cloudflare Pages.
• Every publish is checked. The build records a checksum for each file it produces, and the live site is verified against that list, file by file.

This site collects nothing from you.

• No cookies. None are set, of any kind — so there is nothing to consent to, and no consent banner.
• No analytics, no trackers, no pixels, no embeds. No third-party service is loaded on any page, so no third party learns that you were here.
• No accounts and no forms. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to submit.
• Server records. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps its own request records — including IP addresses — as part of running the service. This site adds nothing to them and builds no statistics of its own.
• Links out. Following a link — a venue, a map, another artist's site — takes you to someone else's site, under their rules, not this one's.
• Printed QR codes. The codes on labels and cards run through link.broker, which counts the scan on its own server before sending you on. That count is a tally of scans; it happens off this website, and it is not tied to you.
• Email. A message sent to the address on the Contact slide is kept as ordinary email, read by the people who run this site, and used only to answer you.

• The work is Agnes Nimmo's. The paintings, and the photographs of them on this site, are her copyright. Please do not copy, print or reproduce them without asking first — asking is welcome.
• Nothing is sold here. This site takes no orders and no payments. What is shown as available is a guide, not an offer; ask by email and we will tell you where a work actually is.
• Dates and details — exhibition dates, opening times, venues, sizes — are given in good faith and can change. Check with the venue before travelling.
• Other sites. Links to other sites are for convenience, not endorsement.
• Law. This site is run from Scotland, under Scots law.
